NBA Finals 2011 : Dallas Mavericks Win Game 4, the series at 2-2

| |

Soccer Extreme : The Dallas Mavericks have tied the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat at two games each as Dallas defeated Miami in game four on Tuesday.

The game was a relatively low scoring affair as it ended at 86-83 in the Mavs' favor and Dirk Nowitzki, battling the flu, scored 21 points to lead his team. That effort included 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Mavericks staged another come-from-behind victory.

Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 32 points in the game while Chris Bosh was more than just helpful as he scored 24. Lebron James, surprisingly, had just eight points, a disappointing offensive effort for the player most consider to be the best in the NBA. James did however lead his team in both assists (7) and rebounds (9).

Game five remains in Dallas as the two teams will meet on Thursday night at 9pm ET. The game will be the final home game for the Mavericks in the 2011 NBA playoffs as both games six and seven will come from Miami.

If the Mavericks are to have a reasonable chance to win this series one would expect that they would have to win game five. Heading to Miami down 3-2 in the series would mean they would need back-to-back road wins over the Heat, a scenario that has to be deemed very unlikely. (crunchsports)

Can't wait for game 5 tonight! Very curious to see if Lebron actually steps up and does something this game, after he's been getting ripped on so much because of his lack of effort in game 4. Hoping to see another great game with the Mavs coming out on top!

Awesome! It’s like I don’t wanna blink my eyes for this game. It’s really fun watch NBA games, as always.

Maybe he did just have a terrible performanc¬e that confirms that he is not Jordan. So what? You can't make the argument that Wade is better or this is Wade's team based on just this series, ESPECIALLY after what happened in the Bulls series. This article was clearly written by one of the many haters out there who was looking for any excuse at all to destroy LeBron for The Decision, leaving Cleveland, or whatever other reason he might have for pulling for him to fail.

The contrast between LeBron James having left the team that helped bring him to greatness in search of more money, and Dirk Nowitzki just having signed a deal to finish his career with the team that gave him his big break (and that he's stuck with through thick and thin) really makes me want to see the Mavs win, if for no other reason.
