Lafferty in sex picture scandal (with photos)

Soccer Extreme : Rangers star Kyle Lafferty was left "devastated" after private sex snaps of him and an ex girlfriend were put up for sale by a mystery tout.
The Scottish Sun can reveal the shady seller tried to cash in after getting his hands on explicit photos and a video of the 23-year-old Ibrox ace with the woman.

Last night a pal of striker Lafferty said he was worried about the impact the images would have on his former lover - and on his current partner Miss Scotland Nicola Mimnagh.

The source said: "Kyle is very upset that these pictures have surfaced.

"It's particularly devastating for him because it's not just him that's involved.And of course, Kyle is now happily settled down with Nicola


To think that someone is trying to make a killing out of extremely personal information is sickening.

"Kyle realises now that he should have been more careful with the sensitive information. This is a hard lesson to learn."


Lafferty called in police after he found out the mystery man is trying to flog the steamy footage of him.


There were dozens of pictures and a video offered as part of a deal.

The tout claims an associate found the images on a laptop dumped in a skip which was being filled with stuff from one of Lafferty's old homes.

But pals of the Northern Ireland international believe the lurid snaps were on an iPhone that he binned weeks earlier.

Lafferty's friend continued: "No one can say much about this because it's now in the hands of the police.

"But there was no broken laptop put in a skip. This is very suspicious and Kyle is not amused.

"He binned the phone because it was broken - and lo and behold these pics have turned up.

"It's very fishy and there's something more to this."

None of the pictures are of his current girlfriend Nicola, 23.

She and Lafferty have enjoyed a whirlwind romance after meeting late last year.

After dating for just a few months, she announced they had moved into a home together in February


Nicola, from Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, was crowned Miss Scotland last year and has appeared in numerous sexy photoshoots for The Scottish Sun.

Lafferty, originally from Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, signed for boyhood heroes Rangers from Burnley for £3.25million in 2008.

The forward has starred 28 times for his country, netting eight goals.

But he has endured a topsy-turvy career with the Ibrox club and has been dogged with injuries, controversy and loss of form.

Lafferty has scored 16 goals for the Light Blues - one of them being the league clincher against Hibernian last season.

Last night a spokesman for Strathclyde Police said that they "have not received a report" concerning any sex snaps of Lafferty.

He added: "We would encourage anyone who feels they have been a victim of crime to come forward." (abc)
