England Seething As Lampard Goal Disallowed
Soccer Extreme : England made early defensive errors to allow Germany a two-goal lead with 31 minutes. But a 37th minute header by Matthew Upson got England back on track.
And on 38 minutes Fabio Capello's men thought they had levelled the score thanks to a superb Lampard lob.
But the officials failed to see the ball had clearly gone over the line and waved England's protests away.
Earlier this year Fifa President Sepp Blatter defended his decision not to bring in goal line technology.
"There is only one referee, the basis of our game is one referee.
"Whether you play in youth competition, amateur competition or at the highest level, there is just one referee." (yahoo)

Sepp Blatter sorry i beg to differ with your idea of one refree in the modern games of today.Do not forget that the games are played for the fans and you need to ensure the fans are totally satisfied with the way games are played.In this world cup,the entire world has seen most number of errors made by the refrees which does not auger well for the game which has been responsible for uniting many nations in political turmoil.We need to keep this going and eliminate doubts and disputes and arrive at a solution which is supported by the majority of the fans of this beautiful game of soccer.One refree concept has not worked one hundred percent and the games of 2010 will be remembered in the history of soccer, how wrong decisions and over sight by refrees contributed to the soccer loving nations exit from the tournament.You will recall the nation of Ireland was the victim of this bad decision by the refree which prevented this nation from competing in the games.If you talk about fair play and strength of this game in uniting nations around the world,fair decisions and rewarding the deserving team on a fair basis will go a long way in upholding the principles of this organization which has done wonderful job in promoting this beautiful games world over very successfully and continues to do so.Rugby union and Ice hokey have used this goal line technology to administer correct and fair decision and the concept has been working exceptionally well and no doubt has contributed to uplifting the level of the games, as well as fans interest.Together teams, nations,players,sponsors,and officials put in tremendous amount of effort in shaping up for the games and no one wants to see exit of teams from the games due to human error.A classic example of wrong decision which allowed the Nation of France to compete in this games on an unfair basis will be remembered by the fans of Ireland in the years to come as France was one nation which did not live up to the expectations in terms of playing the games at this level.
