Croatian footballer Dino Drpic in centre circle sex romp with Playboy model Nives Celzijus [Celsius]

Soccer Extreme : Football's a funny old game. But maybe less so if you're slapped on the transfer list just as your Playboy model wife revealed you had sex with her in the middle of the pitch.

Things have gone from bad to seriously embarrassing for 27-year-old Croatian footballer Dino Drpic, who played for Dinamo Zagreb.

He has been transfer-listed by the club over gambling issues and now his glamour model WAG has told the world they tackled each other in the stadium.

Field of dreams: Maksimir Stadium, where Drpric fulfilled his footballing ambitions

'Dino had arranged that people should turn on the stadium lights for us and he finally fulfilled his dream of having sex in the middle of a football pitch. It was very naughty,' Nives Celzijus told a Serbian chat show.

The model, 27, is promoting her book, Gola Istina, which means The Naked Truth. The site of their get-together will live long in the memory of England fans too - the Maksimir Stadium was where they lost 2-0 in a Euro 2008 qualifier in 2006.

But Drpic could yet score again, with a move to the Premier League. Fellow Croatian Luka Modric is already playing at Tottenham Hotspur and defender Drpic is said to be keen to join him.

We wonder what manager Harry Redknapp would think about that.

Drpic and his wife have hit the headlines before. Last summer, a British couple tried to snatch their son after mistaking him for Madeleine McCann. Celzijus was on holiday on the Croatian island of Krk with her sister when the British tourists started taking photographsof toddler Leone and tried to grab his arm.

'I am used to people taking photos of me and approaching me because we are famous in Croatia so I didn't react,' said the glamour model.

'I started getting suspicious when the British woman approached Leone and started chatting with him. ' Suddenly she grabbed him. However, when I went over she realised my child was a boy and apologised.'

Solved: The Salomon Kalou goal celebration mystery - Not Political, Just Grateful

Soccer Extreme : Salomon Kalou’s goal celebrations on Wednesday night has been solved. The crossed arms gesture was not a controversial “shout out” to a friend in the slammer or a show of support for Ivory Coast political activist Antoine Assale Tiemoko, but simply a replication of the design of the Konvict Muzik logo.

For those who aren’t cool (or who didn’t just look it up on Wikipedia), that’s a record label that has fifteen-minutes-of-fame-are-nearly-over electronica artist Lady Gaga on its books, and is owned by Akon.

Kalou met the annoying rapper at a show at the IndigO2 earlier this week, and was presented with a commemorative disc by his American pal.

If you attend an Akon concert, don’t throw stuff at him. His bodyguards will bring you to him and he’ll bodyslam you. He’s that tough…

Serie A and B Matches This Weekend Will Kick Off 15 Minutes Late

Soccer Extreme : Serie A and B matches this weekend will kick off 15 minutes late in protest at the outcome of a doping case, the Italian players' association said on Friday.

Daniele Mannini ( Napoli Winger)

Napoli winger Daniele Mannini and Brescia striker Davide Possanzini were banned for a year by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Thursday after arriving late for a drugs test in 2007.

"The board of the Italian players' association (AIC), in solidarity with players Mannini and Possanzini and in protest at the scandalous sentence given to them, has decided that teams will enter the field 15 minutes late in the next round of Serie A and B," AIC said in a statement.

The pair, who both played for Serie B side Brescia at the time of the test, were banned for 15 days in March by an Italian Olympic Committee judge but the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appealed to CAS and asked for tougher sentences.

Buffon Wants To Receive Mail From Obama

Soccer Extreme : It seems that Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon would like to speak to the new President of the USA, Barack Obama. Buffon turned 31-years-old today, and he may be able to celebrate it in style tonight with a win against Udinese.

High flying Juventus are confident regarding their chances against strugglers Udinese at the Friuli Stadium. Juve have won six of their last seven league games and they face a side which has not tasted victory in the league since October 29.

The Turin Bianconeri face the Udine Bianconeri in a battle that would have been an incredibly anticipated match earlier in the season, but with the serious decline of form that Antonio Di Natale's side have suffered, Juve seem odds on favourites to take the points away from home.

The Bianconeri were recently boosted by the return from injury of goalkeeping sensation Buffon. The Juve keeper is back to full fitness after being out for three months with a muscle tear in his right leg.

Buffon launched his new official website today, and used the occasion to outline one of his birthday wishes to Sky Sport 24.

“Perhaps I am not being very humble when I say that I would like to receive a mail from Obama. He wish would say: Hi Buffon, you are my favourite goalkeeper in the world. This would please me, so that I could begin a dialogue and friendship with him,” said a smiling Buffon.

Fan Admits Villa Coin Attack

Soccer Extreme : An Aston Villa fan has admitted assaulting a linesman by throwing a coin at him at a Premier League match. John Billington pleaded guilty to a single count of battery at Birmingham Magistrates' Court and will be sentenced next month.

Billington, 43, of Beechey Close, Great Barr, threw a 50p piece at referee's assistant Phil Sharp during Villa's 0-0 draw with Portsmouth on 18 October.

Mr Sharp needed treatment to his head after the incident at Villa Park.

Billington is the managing director of an engineering firm employing seven people.

He didn't intend to hit anybody - it was just a sheer moment of madness
Billington's lawyer

The father-of-two had been a season ticket holder at Villa Park since 1977.

He had drunk six pints of beer before throwing the coin from the Trinity Road Stand, magistrates were told.

Prosecutor Nasreen Ashraf said: "Approximately three minutes before the end of the match, Mr Sharp felt a blow to the right-hand side of his forehead.

"At the same time he saw something shiny lying on the floor and he realised he had been hit on the head by some type of missile."

He contacted the referee via his radio headset and play was delayed while he was treated for a 1.5cm-long cut.

'Very ashamed'

Billington had handed himself in to police following the incident.

His defence solicitor Harman Bal said he had not targeted the linesman and had thrown the coin in a "moment of madness".

He added: "He accepts his actions were reckless, but he did not intend to cause any harm to the complainant or anyone else on the pitch.

"He goes to every home game and most games away. He didn't intend to hit anybody - it was just a sheer moment of madness.

"He's very ashamed of his actions."

Magistrates granted Billington unconditional bail and ordered reports to be prepared with a view to a community-based punishment.

Iranians punished for mixed soccer match

Soccer Extreme : The first mixed soccer game — females versus males — since the 1979 Islamic revolution led to swift punishment Monday as six individuals were suspended and fines of $15,000 Cdn were issued.

Iran's strict Islamic rules ban any physical contact between unrelated men and women, and Iranian women are even banned from attending soccer games when male teams play.

Three officials with the men's team — a coach and two managers — were suspended after first denying the game took place. But video clips on cellphones of the game were used as evidence against them, the Vatan-e-Emrooz daily newspaper reported.

Esteghlal, one of Iran's top two soccer clubs, said its disciplinary committee suspended two officials for a year while a third was suspended for six months. A fourth official was fined, a report posted on the club's website said.

According to the Esteghlal soccer club, Mohammad Khorramgah, the club's technical manager, was suspended for a year and fined 50 million rials ($6,334 Cdn) for the Jan. 20 game.

The only woman among the suspended — Saeedeh Pournader, head coach of the female team — also got a year's suspension. Mostafa Ardestani, head coach of the youth team, got a six-month suspension and a 20-million rial ($2,534 Cdn) fine.

A prominent Iranian soccer player and manager of the club's soccer academy, Ali Reza Mansourian, got a written rebuke and a fine of 50 million rials ($6,334 Cdn), the club said.

The Jan. 20 game between the club's female team and its youth male team in Tehran was the first time in the 30 years of Iran's Islamic establishment that males and females played soccer together, observers said.

Passionate Fans

The youth team beat the women 7-0 in a game Vatan-e-Emrooz described as "historic."

The report said the game was held at Marqoobkar stadium in south Tehran.

Mixed games for soccer, called football in Iran, were virtually unheard of even before the Islamic revolution.

Kamran Khatibi, a soccer writer at Kayhan sports daily, said he doesn't remember a "football game ever having been played between women and men in Iran — not even during Shah Reza Pahlavi's era."

Women can be just as passionate fans about soccer. One well-reviewed Iranian film, Offside, follows the story of a girl who disguises herself as a boy to attend a soccer game at a stadium in Tehran.

In 2006, the same year the film was released, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad surprised his conservative backers by deciding that women could attend soccer games, saying their presence would "improve soccer-watching manners and promote a healthy atmosphere."

But Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, disagreed. He has final say on all matters in Iran, so his stance held — no women in the stands, not even in the segregated section when men play.

And only women can attend games when women's teams play. However, foreign women are occasionally allowed at men's matches, purportedly because they don't understand the language and the cursing.

Ronaldo Goes Clubbing; Corinthians Happy To Let Him

Soccer Extreme : Corinthians striker Ronaldo is back to his old habits after staying out clubbing until 6am in a Sao Paulo venue.

The former Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid and Milan striker was photographed leaving the club on Friday in a state of confusion. Yahoosport.it claims the Brazilian was partying all night as he got back to the good life.

Corinthians coach Mano Menezes was expected to be furious with the out of sorts striker, but, incredibly, he is happy that Ronaldo is out and about enjoying himself.

"Ronaldo is respecting the work programme well and at that time he was free to do what he wanted."

Ronaldo is currently fighting his way back to full fitness. He is looking out of shape and overweight, so much so that he hasn't even made his debut for the Brazilian side.

The striker moved to Corinthians in December after snubbing offers from several clubs in Europe. He also rejected the chance to move to Flamengo, causing outrage at the club as fans went berserk after feeling betrayed.

I've Got Your Number, Ronaldo

Soccer Extreme : A businessman is hoping to drive a hard bargain after snapping up footballer Cristiano Ronaldo's dream car number plate.

He might drive a £300 Ford Escort but his number plate has a five-figure price tag.

Russell Baldwin splashed out on CR7 registration mark for his humble vehicle - but hopes it will catch the eye of millionaire United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese winger uses the letters and numbers to market his image and has even opened his own boutique in his homeland, which he has named CR7.

Now Mr Baldwin is hoping to sell it on for about £80,000 and is inviting offers from Ronaldo, or anyone else who wants to have the iconic plate on their car.

RUSSELL Baldwin
Russell Baldwin is open to offers, particularly from the Portuguese winger, for CR7 number plate which he has put on his £300 Escort

Mr Baldwin, 49, bought it last year from a businessman in Scotland, paying a five-figure sum for the combination of Ronaldo's initials and the number on his United shirt.

Mr Baldwin, a property developer, learned the registration plate was for sale when he went to buy two other private plates from millionaire businessman Charlie Robinson of Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Robinson had the CR7 plate and it was reported at the time that Ronaldo - who has a fleet of luxury sports cars - had bought it for £150,000.

But Mr Baldwin discovered that it was still for sale and he agreed a deal.

He has now registered the plate, which he bought for 'personal and business reasons', with the DVLA.

Mr Baldwin, from Buckinghamshire, said: 'There is a perception that Ronaldo owns the plate and he doesn't.

CRISTIANO RONALDO
Ronaldo could be tempted to buy the number plate for one of his cars possibly his Bentley GT - worth a little more than £300

'When I went to see Charlie to get two other plates he mentioned he still had CR7.

'He said Ronaldo was going to buy it but he hadn't, so I bought all three.

'It is an old and interesting plate, which was first registered in 1903. I've put it up for sale and had a phone call from someone who said 'that is Ronaldo's plate'. It's not, but if he is still interested he can buy it if he wants it.'

Ronaldo was lucky to escape without a scratch when he wrote off his new £200,000 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorino in a tunnel near Manchester Airport.

He was driving it for the first time when it hit a wall in the tunnel under one of the airport's runways.

Real Madrid fined €3,000 over radical fans, the Ultra Sur

Soccer Extreme : Real Madrid have been fined 3,000 euros ($3,900) by the Spanish football federation (RFEF) after a group of their fans were reported by a referee for making what he termed fascist gestures and chanting fascist slogans.

Referee Alfonso Perez Burrull said in his report from Sunday's home Primera Liga match against Osasuna that some Real fans were waving flags and banners with ''extremist or radical symbolism''.

He also referred to "chants making reference to the gas chamber, death to Osasuna and fascists forever" and said they were accompanied by gestures and signs "of a fascist nature".

An RFEF spokesman said Real, who have had trouble in the past with a group of radical fans known as the "Ultra Sur", had been punished for breaching a rule that aims to prevent xenophobia and intolerance.

Their latest fine is the same as the one levied by the RFEF on Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute this month after he uncovered a shirt with the word "Palestine" written on it in several languages when he scored in a King's Cup match.

Soccer Extreme : Ex-Hamburg manager Huub Stevens reveals Rafael's trick : Former Hamburg manager Huub Stevens has revealed that Dutch star Rafael Van der Vaart once deliberately got booked so he could go and party with his wife.

The incident is one of many revelations brought to light in Stevens' new book – and will most likely embarrass the midfield maestro, who now plays for Real Madrid.

His former manager claims that in the 28th league game of the 2007/2008 season, Hamburg lost at home to Duisburg.

Before the match had begun, Stevens said to his assistant: “Van der Vaart will deliberately pick up a fifth yellow card. His wife is celebrating her 30th birthday and he wants to be there.”

Stevens was right. Van der Vaart kicked the ball away after the referee had blown the whistle and duly earnt a yellow card.

Sylvie Van der Vaart

Three days later the team played Hertha BSC in Berlin – without superstar Rafael – where they drew 0-0. And there was one happy WAG, Sylvie van der Vaart, who got to celebrate her birthday with her husband.

Man accused of sexually abusing Eto´o son acquitted

Soccer Extreme
: A friend of Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o was acquitted Thursday by a Spanish court of charges that he sexually abused the Cameroonian international's six-year-old son while acting as a babysitter.

The Barcelona court ruled that there was insufficient evidence that the man, described by prosecutors as a close friend of the player, "made any type of touching or other acts of a sexual nature" when he looked after the child.

"The responses given by the minor to questions posed by expert psychologists do not allow for establishing that the touching and acts of a sexual nature attributed to the accused took place," it said.

Public prosecutors had asked that the man be slapped with a six-year jail term and a fine of 60,000 euros (80,000 dollars).

Eto'o, a three-times African Player of the Year, testified in court as part of the man's trial, which was held in December.

The incident was alleged to have taken in 2006 when the man would look after the boy on the weekends that Eto'o had custody of his son but was busy with matches or training sessions.

According to prosecutors, the accused "took advantage of his closeness to the minor to fondle his genitals in order to satisfy his lecherous desires".

The boy's mother -- who does not live with Eto'o -- filed a complaint with police after he told her about the abuse in August 2006, when the boy was about four, prosecutors said.
